During my recent escape to the tranquil countryside of Durazno, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Santa Cristina, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! The elegant design of the hotel immediately drew me in, with its polished parquet floors and a charming lobby adorned with a white fireplace-perfect for cozying up with a glass of local wine. Our room was truly a sanctuary, featuring a comfortable bed dressed in crisp white linens, a minibar stocked with delights, and lovely views of the undisturbed gardens. After a long day touring the surrounding vineyards, the refreshing pool was the perfect place to unwind. I couldn't resist taking a dip while gazing at the beautiful farmland that enveloped the property. Although the breakfast was fabulous with a spread that included fresh pastries and fruits, I found myself wishing for a bit more of that glorious Uruguayan beef-perhaps some sausages could elevate it even further. Hotel Santa Cristina was a gem of a find; I'll definitely return for another relaxing getaway. Who knows?
